01 — The trust layer

02 — Matching

Six people a day, no deck to shuffle.

Your feed is curated from prompt answers and arrives once a day. There is no swipe gesture anywhere in Toastly.

  • Prompts you both answered sit on the card, above the photos.
  • Replies start on a specific answer, so first messages have somewhere to go.
  • When the six are done for the day, the app tells you to go and live.

03 — Gist

Voice-first sessions with a shape.

A Gist has a start, an end, and something to talk about. Live video unlocks on Premium Plus when you both agree to it.

04 — Date commitment

Coins as a promise, not a punishment.

Both people stake a small deposit when a date is confirmed. Show up, get it back. Cancel with notice, get it back.

These fields exist because they matter to Nigerian families. They sit on your profile only if you put them there.

06 — Work, optional

Your work, verified — if you want it there.

Profession and education are optional fields you can add and verify. They sit on your profile only if you put them there, and they are never used to filter anyone out of anyone's feed.

  • Verified profession and education carry the same privacy control as tribe, language and faith — you choose whether they are visible.
  • Verification is a trust signal, not a status symbol: someone who invents a job usually cannot verify one.
  • You can filter your own search by profession. Nobody is ever hidden from you, or from anyone else, for leaving it blank.
